We are currently separated by several states, Dave working in AK and Karen living in Las Vegas.
Dave is working on a VERY remote Island SW of Prince of Wales Island. Dall Island, Grace Harbor. He will be there for the season usually ending mid to end of Oct. Ugh!!!
We will try this Blog thingy out and see if Dave can post pics from his adventures on Dall.
Karen will try and figure out all the blogging details and get the rest of their friends and families blog sites so Dave will feel some contact with the outside world.
Phone service is via satellite, 10 min max phone conversation per day. WiFi is available for email and internet, no live feeds such as movies or skype. there are those who can't understand the rules who could possibly blow it for all. If they lose internet using too much band width, it's down for a week.
They do have a great cook, mmmm, better than home and no harping about cholesterol and 1% milk.
Dall Island must be heaven to men. Well, not quite, wink wink, but just about;)
Karen is hanging with the Vegas families trying to figure out SW gardening and 2-4 yr olds. Now that is hard work!
